EuniqYou 2.0
When we first started EuniqYou, it was all about making jewellery that was stylish and affordable—and it still is! But as we’ve grown and learned more about what sustainability means, we’ve realised that we can do better.
That’s why we’re excited to announce that all future EuniqYou pieces will be made using recycled metal—specifically 925 silver! We’ve also switched up our materials for the same reason: now all of our pieces will be demi-fine vermeil.
We know this has been a frequently requested and asked question: Will there be silver jewellery in the future? And the answer is yes! We will also be producing not only gold vermeil, but silver jewellery as well.
“Vermeil jewellery is often considered a more affordable alternative to solid gold jewellery, as it gives the appearance of gold without the high price tag.”
About Vermeil Jewellery –
Gold vermeil (pronounced vehr-may; it’s French!) is a legally regulated term that refers to a high quality kind of gold-plated jewellery. To be legally called “vermeil”, the jewellery piece must meet ALL of these conditions:
✓ Have sterling silver as its base material. This is a standard material and precious metal you may see this represented on jewellery as the stamp 925
✓ Be plated in a gold layer that is at least 10karats. That means the gold is at least 41.7% gold content
✓ Have gold plating that is at least 2.5 microns thick. A micron is 1/1000th of a millimeter
